Oh ok, I thought it might be an issue with logic not finding it. Thanks for your help If it does not show up in AMS that means your computer system (OS X) is not seeing it. Therefore neither Logic nor any of the software used in OS X will see it. You need to troubleshoot connecting the CME with OS X, and once you're successful at that chances are Logic will automatically communicate with it.

Please let us know how you progress with this issue as I'm sure there are others in the same situation who would love to hear the outcome of your troubleshooting. It seems from the various posts I found from googling this issue. That unfortunately, there are no drivers that are compatible with Lion, for the UF8. It seems that CME have pronounced it as a Legacy product and that it is 'no longer supported' and 'discontinued' and so have no intentions of updating the drivers for it any longer. There are even issues with the newer UF80 and no driver support for Lion. But there is a workaround for that issue.

However, the workaround does not apply/work with the UF8 Sorry. Wish I had better news.
