Skyline™ SKYLINE™ is Chicago's flagship large piece commercial laundry folder series with the longest list of standard features in the industry. This line of laundry folders is available in 120' and 136' length models. Each machine can have 1 or 4 or more lanes of primary folding and up to 3 crossfolds with optional sorting stackers. Skyline commercial laundry folders offer a streamlined CHI panel electronic control, an extra-wide crossfold bed, and the elimination of encoder measuring wheels and mechanical clutch / brake mechanisms. This makes Skyline the industry's most advanced folder / crossfolder series suitable for commercial, linen supply, hospitality, or health care laundries.

The Skyline folders are now produced with fully automatic operation and the ability to vary timing, air pulse, and other parameters to assure peak performance on today's diverse range of items, sizes, and weights. Air Chicago AIR CHICAGO laundry folding technology is also available in two extended lengths, XL and XXL. These larger machines accommodate bath blankets and thermal blankets up to 96' (2200 mm) or 108' (2700 mm) long and 72' (1800 mm) wide, with the flexibility to accurately a variety of laundry items such as towels, gowns, and pads. The use of a larger folding field, specially designed air flow bars, and a more advanced version of the CHI logic system enables Air Chicago XL and XXL to accommodate these larger items without sacrificing folding quality or speed.

Hotels and Spas enjoy the flexibility of processing larger blankets and towels while providing quality finished linens to their clientele. All Air Chicago machines are also now available in Extra Wide (XW) models to accommodate items up to 48” (1200mm) wide, or 96” (2200 mm) wide before prefolding. Air Chicago XL/XXL is also available with the new PC-based color touch screen control we call CHI•Touch.

Chicago Dryer Company participated in WTSA’s 2016 Production Clinic held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Activities kicked off on the evening of Thursday, January 21st with the President’s Reception held at the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa. Friday morning Regional Sales Director Chuck Anderson gave a presentation on the history of Chicago Dryer Company, which included pictures of CDC exhibiting at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893! Chuck also presented on the Chicago equipment that attendees would see in operation during the Boyd Gaming Linen & Uniform plant tour later that morning. Chicago equipment installed at the Boyd Gaming Laundry includes two King Edge feeders, three Century III 42 steam ironers, two Skyline S-18-2000 folder/cross-folders with Bridge Linen Transition Conveyors, one 5-lane Carousel, and three Air Chicago towel folders. This year we added a new award to our traditional list. The Shawn Daniel Award for Teamwork/ Customer Service was created to honor one of Chicago's own, who passed away in February.

This award is given to those who exemplify hard work and who we couldn't do our jobs without, much like Shawn. The inaugural recipients of this award are Jim Everett & Jackie E. Hall from Commercial Installations Co. They exemplify everything this award recognizes; hard-work, perseverance, and the ability to overcome any obstacles that are thrown their way to get the job done. They were also great friends with Shawn. We also recognized those dealers, both individuals and organizations, who truly stood out in Sales and Support over the past two years.

Direct Machinery. The recent International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show (IHMRS) at the Javits Center in New York City was again successful for Chicago. Chicago displayed the popular ironer along with videos of our extensive product line. Hoteliers, restauranteurs, party rental companies, consultants and more were all in attendance. The IHMRS show draws regionally, nationally, and internationally. We found strong interest in our products and were informed of many new upcoming projects requiring Chicago Dryer Company products.
